Well fellas, it's been almost a month since my last post. All this time I've been sourcing parts for my project. The hardest part to find was the 20 pin FPC cable for the display. It arrived yesterday. I have put all the pieces together for the initial test. It's looking pretty good methinks.

While adding a linear supply to the box might do some good, depending on who you ask, there is a good reason not to make it too big. A 12A supply used where only a 1A or so supply is required will be capable of destrying a PCB if something goes wrong in the SB. Industrial linear power supplies
