the display? I'm re-packaging an SB3, but haven't been able find
suitable dark tinted glass or plastic.

Actually I used clear acrylic sourced from a picture frame and cut to
fit with a GE plastics cutter knife.
The blue color comes from a gel optical filter film (available from
sound reinforcement stores or Amazon) cut to fit the clear acrylic and
glued from the inside. It's a

faceplates as a choice also...and if I have to be really picky some not
quite so sharp edges..

This is actually, the Super Squeezebox and it's not a commercial
design. Just a home project for the fun of it!
The SB+, OTOH, is available on the market and a completely different

Well fellas, it's been almost a month since my last post. All this time
I've been sourcing parts for my project. The hardest part to find was
the 20 pin FPC cable for the display. It arrived yesterday.
I have put all the pieces together for the initial test. It's looking
pretty good methinks.

I was busy the whole afternoon adapting it to the power supply. It's
turning out much nicer than I expected.
The enclosure seems to be the perfect fit and it certainly looks like

SB of any type Lavry was quite good, I still slightly prefered the
TP. I sold the Lavry.

While adding a linear supply to the box might do some good, depending on
who you ask, there is a good reason not to make it too big. A 12A
supply used where only a 1A or so supply is required will be capable of
destrying a PCB if something goes wrong in the SB.

However, it doesn't seem to be too big. Just slightly larger than the
3A supply. Same open frame construction.
