Is the plan to do a 7.8 final which is the best version for everyone to

perhaps you can advise me of an easier way to install the add-in.

scanner on my WHS) and the other suggested that you should clear
the cache, which I have done to no avail. I don't think this is related
to my early problems starting SC (which are now solved) as I saw this
before those occured. The log is at
www.toppy.org.uk/~chunkywizard/Squeezebox/scanner.log. I
and reinstalled using the Console and got the same error about lack of
privileges. Screenshot at:

Hopefully on this you can see the error in the DOS box.
Obviously I can try and fix it the same way as before but that's a bit
long winded. Anything else I can
more details before hand.

Thanks for the update. I was referring to nightlies, but if it can't be
done, it can't be done. Pity the installer is limited to the same
filename, oh well.

was only released hours after PP2 so I doubt it will help.
Obviously my issue might not be related to this at all so any other

Actually I said all is well, but it's not. My boom is extremely laggy,
unusably so. I'm am connected though! I'm on the latest nightly and I
have checked Squeezecenter isn't scanning (which is what usually causes
lag on my Boom)
