the noweb-sqlite branch tonight. If you are running 7.4 we would like
you to continue running it, but be aware it may be more unstable than

Yeah, we are still shipping 5.8 binaries for Mac and i386/x64 Linux.

Not if you stick with SVN on the trunk. Only the nightly builds have been
switched over to the noweb/nonothing branch. We haven't merged them yet.

My very first impression is that in the browser and on the controller
navigating is faster. I saw several errors in the scanner log, if
somebody like to have them - just pm.

Upgraded to latest nightly on Ubuntu 9.04 server without any issues. I'm
running SC on a P2 266Mhz processor with 192M of RAM - runs smoothly and
uses fewer resources.

I'm still getting nowhere with scanning. I started with a clean server,
no data migration. The designated music folder contains one Windows
shortcut pointing to another folder. Each time I start the server, it
logs that it's initiating a scan, but then there's no further logging in
that regard,

Got the update automatically on my Ubuntu test server. Seems to be
working fine, using a little less memory than the 7.3.2 primary server
(76mb vs 86mb). Scanner seems basically fine, although the
track/album/artist counts are slightly off between the two, I'll do some
digging on that.

The scanner has now got "C" code that has to be ported over the the
target platform. Slimdevices only provides scanner executables for
supported platforms.
I presume the SSODS author (flipflip?) has not yet produced a
compatible version of SSODS with the new scanner executable.

Andy said per 5.10 is only needed for Windows not for other platforms.
More important for QNAP is the need to have a native build of the
scanner code as it is now written in "C".

OK, just tested the latest 7.4 with windows Seven... It was unable to
find any of my music files, and now after a reboot it won't even start.
