Today during the CBC for Kids in London, my group found a juvenile Red-headed
Woodpecker in the area between the Civic Garden green houses and the foot
bridge that crossed the Thames (I have labeled the location on a map, which can

At 7:30 this morning, I had a Red-Headed Woodpecker visit my backyard peanut
feeder, three times in total over a 10 to 15 minute period.

Woodland Trail near the Redbud Seasonal Trail. Sometime later, we saw a

Since 9:50 this morning there has been a Red-headed Woodpecker in Turney
Woods Park Mississauga. My house backs on to the park and the woodpecker has
been feeding from my suet but is currently in the ravine area (middle of
forest). Should not be hard to find as the forest is only 5 acres (with

Hi Everyone
Today, December 26th, my son, Ben and I saw a flock of 14 Gray Partridge
near the corner of Donald B. Munro Drive and Panmure Road near the village
of Marathon. The birds flushed off the road and landed in a nearby
cornfield. Later on, we saw at least 2 of the over-wintering Red

Hi Everyone
Today, August 22, 2005 I birded along the Ottawa River from Britannia to
Constance Bay. At the Britannia Conservation Area there was a good selection
of landbirds, 15 species of warblers including 1 Blackpoll, 1 Black-throated
blue, 1 Blackburnian and 1 Cape May. Numerous Scarlet
One adult bird was seen on July 24, 2005 at the junction of Shaw Road
and North Pakenham Concession 12, about 6 km NNW of Pakenham, ON, and
inside the Ottawa Checklist Circle by only a few hundred metres. This
site has hosted nesting Red-headed Woodpeckers in each of the summers
from 2002 to 2005 i
Hello Everyone,
With some great directions from Bruce DiLabio I visited the old burn site in
Constance this morning to check up on the red-headed woodpeckers. My Mom and I
saw the pair of red-heads with with at least one ofspring (they fly around so
much it is often hard to tell when one is coming

off the excitement in our yard a Red Headed Woodpecker, Rose Breasted
Grosbeak, 2 Indigo Buntings, 2 House Wrens, Great Blue Heron flying over my
water garden, several White Crowned Sparrows scratching in my flour bed.
On my way home from work I stopped off Liberty in Bowmanville at the St.
Mary
I have just been watching a Red Headed woodpecker at my feeders this afternoon.
It is now 4:00pm and the beautiful Adult male with brilliant red head and pure
white rump was a sight to see at my suet feeder. Not very many Red Headed
Woodpeckers are seen up this way anymore.
