Hi All,
I have been reading about people having problems installing Flash Player
into Firefox. Does anyone on the list have any knowledge of such a problem?
If so, would you please share? I am trying to find the reason / fix for
installing it for a fellow computer abuser. As of the moment,
Hi Mike, I don't know too much about this, I've just read a little bit. It
is my understanding that Firefox uses a different flash than I.e.I have used
the Ninite installer, for FF, and it says the install was successful. I
have Windows XP SP3, JAWS 12. Besides that, I have no further
Hi Deb,
Thank you very much for this information. I had no idea that FireFox uses a
different Flash Player. This person that is having the problem may not know
this either so, I'll let them know. Thanks again, take care.

I'm pretty certain that just about any question your friend wants to know

searches. I hink a better way to help your friend is by teaching that friend
how to run good Google searches. :) HTH.

Hi Madison,
That is not true! Google is not always someone's friend in this case not!

Hello Listers,
How would I go about getting my windows 7 laptop to stay connected to my
wireless network? Every time I want to connect wirelessly I have to go in to
the list of networks, find mine and click connect. I want it to switch over
automatically. When I pull out the ethernet cable.
Michael,
I just want to make sure I understand. You have a wireless network in your
location. You are choosing to connect wired with an ethernet cable to that
same network. You then want to disconnect the wire and just stay right where
you are and no hiccups but just continue working.
I'm sorry Mike. I guess you're right in this instance. Its just that I find
it a bit selfish that very often listers offer to help their friends then
come post questions on these lists essentially turning everyone into their
tech support department when he list never offered to help that
I think the Windows7 list where you duplicated this post will probably give
you the best suggestions.

Hi David,
I'm very sorry to disagree, but I think you are very wrong on this point.

The majority of drives at this time are NTFS as that is a more efficient
format. Drive speed ETC depends on how much you wish to spend along with the
size of the drive.
External drives are normally used for backup purposes and as such speed is
not always a factor most of the time.

Hi Dave,
Actually, the majority of external enclosure drives I've ever purchased for
myself and others come formatted as fat32. This makes sense since
manufacturers don't know the customer's operating system so going with Fat32
is a safe call.
Most drives sold nowadays are 7200 RPM, but

Hi Madison,

problems. Too many times doing searches gives you so many options that it
can leave you with your head spinning! As for dragging others
One good thing about USB is that it is cross compatible. What that means is
you can plug a 3.0 drive in to any USB port and it will work but only to the
maximum speed of the given port in question.
Conversely you can plug a 1.1 drive in to a 3.0 port and it will work but
only at the 1.1 speed.
Thank you for this good explanation. So, now I really don't have to worry
that my drive is going to become obsolete and if I find a great price on a
2.0 USB, I'm safe to buy it. For what I use an external drive for, speed is
not critical. My goal is to insure that I have multiple copies of some
