The only way to be able to tell is to take the cpu out and put it in another motherboard. This will be very difficult to diagnose, it could be anything from a motherboard, to memory, to cpu, to even the power supply not working correctly.

USB headphones are nice because you can use them at home when your on your PS2 or Xbox (add version here). Rummer on the street is they sound better too. I can believe this when you are looking at headsets with 30 mm or higher drums on them. Soundcard can only push our x amount of power to them.
