One note of which to be aware, there was a change in the way that cf_execute
handles standard output and error redirection. I seem to recall the change
was that it now matches the way the tag was documented for the past year.

When mailing list titles are stuffed into the Subject, it messes up many
readers so they are no longer able to sort the messages into the proper
order to read them - because the [stuff] gets sorted strangely.

What about hardcoding the username and password in a CFX tag?
It is
compiled, so it won't be simple to extract.
Might work - except I have been unable for the past 18+ months to
find any info about writing cfx's for Solaris...

The bug that I described regarding the custom tags was in
ColdFusion 4.5.1 sp1, running with iPlanet's netscape enterprise
server on a sparc solaris 2.6 system.

One thing to be aware of is that not all of the extra tags that people
sometimes get used to using are not available on Unix...

Re: unix is case sensitive
Well, Unix treats file names in a case sensitive manner.
Both environments treat cfoutput as case sensitive smile and
both environments, as far as I am aware, treat the built in tags
as case insensitive...
