Waste of time. Same balancer used on 283,327,307. You have a small journal crank. Unless the rubber insulator ring is shot. I suggest the Chevy 327/350 hyd (Crane cam WG996K grind151H) cam swap if your pulling the intake and balancer. Replacement factory ID #3563151 for 325 or 350 HP engin

That is a weak area on the fire wall. The factory used large J hooks in the opening above the front body mounts. One suggestion though, why not pick up the body on the top of the firewall where the top fender bolts go

You don't need a kit. Get a ford solenoid at advanced auto and the wiring diagram from Mad on line. Takes about 30 mins tops. You will need some #10 gauge wire, a piece of battery terminal wire and lugs, some terminals and a drill to mount the solenoid. I did this about 2 months ago.
