Hi Sean,
I am not sure if you try to use ISL and 802.1q on adjacent ports, but the

The four adjacent ports (such as 0-3 or 4-7) on a 10/100 interface must all

Looking at the config, I do not understand why you have the ip helper
address configured under the serial interface. It should be under the
ethernet interface where packets are getting in from the Land network.
Try putting the Ip helpler address under the Ethernet no the serial
interface.

To be honest, I don't have a definitive answer. I did hear from someone on
the list that this is because NAT is often used as a security tool as well
as a method to save public IP addresses, so Cisco decided that it would be a

You must have a translation defined if you are going from outside to inside,
the extendable allows for multiple port to be used in translations to the

The BGP split horizon rule is confusing me.
It states that routes learned by a IBGP router are not propagated to other

I guess this only regards IGP learned routes and trying to avoid that an

for this route
First of all, BGP has no split horizon rule. IBGP neighbors will not
propagate routes to each other as a matter of loop protection (since we have
no way to add AS numbers w/in the AS--don't worry about confederations yet).
This really has nothing to do w/split horizon. Try this:

I think a more correct fix would be to change your NAT access list to

consider that the DNS request packet has a destination address of the server
of your former ISP. what you are trying to accomplish, if I understand you
correctly, is to change that destination address. Policy routing can change
the next hop, but it cannot change the destination IP of the packet
OSPF and EIGRP could support a maximum of 50 peer routers.
Does it mean only 50 routers using OSPF or EIGRP can connect to the same
subnet?
