I have read a part of this book. It seems to line up with the CIT. Will this
be enough reading material to pass the CIT?

Hi Chuck
From the look of the problem the best solution to the problem would be to
move the redistribution from R1 to R2 and run OSPF over the link. Which then
allows you to use an OSPF Demand Circuit reducing the time the link is up.
But if the problem specifically mentions that EIGRP must be
There are many more than the four you mention.

Hello,
Does tcp port 1790 have to be permitted both ways (similiar to bgp and

Ex. #permit tcp any any eq 1790

Could someone clarify this for me?
Thank you.

I don't know what scenario you are working on, so its hard to give a

It might be that you ran into the issue that by default I-BGP learned

routes are redistributed without it !!)

Folks,
I'm sure this a pretty straight forward but as this ISDN
connection relates to the lab requirements as a complete scenario should
dictate how the requirements are interpreted.
It seems strange that the ISDN link should stay up indefinitely.
Another question here would be what

Is there one solid book for preparing for the MPLS exam for the CCIP?
I checked a couple and not sure which one might be sufficient JUST for the

You may see some duplicate messages from the Cisco list. This is
because a mailer at xinhuanet.com is looping messages back on the list.
This happens quite frequently and we have had for years loop prevention

Dosnt sound like they want the ISDN up all the time, if they did why mention
not allowing broadcasts to bring the link up?
Definitly sounds like an ACL is what they are looking for.
Chuck when are you sitting the lab again?

Did you retransmit the message or did Group Study send it again by mistake?
Unfortunately, due to no marketing by the publisher, not
the rules of this particular lab exercise is that synchronization MUST be

What equipment are you using? What IOS?

Yes, subnets is in the command line.

I remember that I have made a telnet sesion froma Cisco Aironet 340 (not
sure about the model). You CAN do it if you have the mac. My scenario
was that someone had changed the IP address and I made the telnet with
the mac address.

It doesn't look like the market liked the idea. Cisco stock went down.
