I would also look at your MTU setting on the clientwith the overhead
the IPSEC puts on the packet some transmissions will be slow1400
seemed to work the best for us

Is it safe to assume you were running all of these software verions 12.08T?
That could be your problem.I have 3 3640's and 1 3660 running 12.1(2)T

download a new IOS to the Flash pat attention to syntax it is case sensitive
and at the end type reset to reload the router! You should be all set after
