It depends on what you mean by 'valuable'. If you are speaking from the
perspective of one who is pursuing certification, then you need to evaluate
which path is best for you. Cisco and Nortel have both enjoyed and continue
to enjoy commercial success (with some enjoying more than others ;-0).

The real issue, even outside of the realm of the stock market is that their
boxes can deliver what they claim that they can. I have not personally
worked on their gear, but know several Juniper Engineers and they all agree
that Juniper has a solid set of solutions available.

IS-IS is most definetly still alive and kicking. The US military utilizes
it, and it works very well. OSPF is a different animal, and Rik, I would
