I have a Cisco 4000 router which has 4Mb of System Flash and 4Mb of boot flash. Does this mean it has 8Mb of Flash, or is it just 4, hence I am unable to load a more current versios of the IOS. Right now I am running 10.3(3), and the flash show c4500-j-m.103-3 I would like to upgrade to 11.

I am looking at upgrading a 2600 but am amazed at the cost of the memory. The upgrade for 32 to 64 MB on the 2600 is costing me $1,273. That is really incredible. I used to be able to use kingston memory. Will the 2600 take Kingston memory or should I buy the Cisco memory that is being recommend
