I would say you at least need to sand the trouble spots and coat. I had the yard do this for me for a few years before the bottom job on my last boat. they charge about 11 per foot to tape and paint and then time and material to sand. I think it was costing about 500 to 600 a year for 33 foot

Yes, left a lot out. I am not sure how detailed, or long, to make these posts. I guess the point is that the splitters work well. I have the Shakespeare unit installed with a Shakespeare loaded whip. I was commenting that if the FM reception is poor it may not be the splitter causing the problem.
