This is not a mandrake cooker bug and not even a mozilla bug. Have a
look at http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=171235.

Problems with new Mozilla 1.2.1 and online banking with Deutsche Bank.
This was working fine with Mozilla 1.1 - but since 1.2 I'm having a
problem. I have confirmed that the online banking works from Opera 6.1
and Konqueror (3.1) with Cooker installed.
Hopefully someone can read German!
to introduce the error on this configuration.

I'm trying to install Mandrake on a machine with a Mylex Acceleraid 160

The problems begin when I try to reboot after the installation process

Just to follow this, /boot/initrd-2.4.19-16mdk.img did exist with
the symlink to it.
After the kernel-2.4.19.17 update, /boot is only half-installed:
-rw-r--r--1 root root 512 Apr 13 2001 boot.0300

Has anyone noticed a problem with NVidia's drivers in 8.2?
They compile and install fine on my system, but X refuses to start, says
there is no such driver
I also have gotten a warning about them tainting the kernel, not being GPL,
when inserting the module manually.
Hi again,
Okay, if you thought my previous information on my sound card was odd...
listen to this - it seems I overlooked that in modules.conf it does INDEED
use the OSS module. However, the Mandrake installer automatically selected
and installed/configured the ALSA service, which seems to "t
This is extremely strange, to say the least. As you can see from my e-mail,
it is indeed running ALSA. I didn't do anything special to the system, it was
just a normal install on a blank partition.
I'm certainly not complaining. Since ALSA has more features to offer, I'm
very happy about that,

Hi,
I'm going to quickly gain the reputation of a guy that likes to complain
about sound card setups, but hey, what can I say? :-)
Here is the problem I noticed. I tried installing Mandrake 8.2 RC1 on my
laptop, after removing Mandrake 8.1 (it was a new install, not in upgrade).

Unless I disable both of these they try to come on all the time even
when I am using my keyboard and mouse. They also don't seem to pay any
atention to the times that I set for when they should turn on. They will
simply occur whenever and very often.

cello.se cd 2 on beta 3 must have been corrupted, the file size was
correct on download, but during a burn it always stopped about half way
through the write cycle,.

Mike--- I suggest you burn another CD, as it looks like that one has a
bad spot where it is trying to access that bit of information. I
