You can try running the network test from Server Network Health in
the web interface. The player needs to be connected to the slimserver
(i.e. not squeezenetwork mode) for the network test to show up.

Check that it has the correct mac address. Sometimes Squeezebox's lose
their correct Mac address and then you get exactly what you're
descibing.

When listening to random tracks, I would with a single key press be able
to play the entire album of the currently playing track.
I think you can do it with about 4 key strokes from 'now playing' but I
would like to be able to add a command to custom.map so as to do it with
a single key stroke.

Nope, this is only true when you're browsing your library and have your
server set to play other songs in album.
It's nothing to do with delay - the sound travels a lot faster along the
cable than it does from the speakers to your ears.
Keeping the lengths similar is to do with matching levels between left
and right. Provided your cable is thick enough not to attenuate the
signal significantly, I'd be

On my Win XP pro sp2 box, with 46 processes running, the stock slimtray
was leaking 45 handles every ten seconds.
Is your source available? I'm thinking about taking a peek at it and
