Unfortunately, you cannot directly deal with the perl58 problem as the scanner.exe file is a pre-packaged perl application. Installing ActivePerl from ActiveState.com will allow you to run slimserver.pl and scanner.pl manually. That might avoid the crash. Regardless, you should report this t
