I had a Slim Devices unit that lost one analog out channel but the
optical out worked fine..
Did not attempt the repair - poor solder skills - used a little optical
to rca converter until I replaced with a Touch.
As you've read this is known fault.

Update: It looks like a hardware prob of the SB3 (Classic) as the
phenomenon does not happen on the Touch I have replaced it with.
Changing the power supply on the SB3 did also not change the behaviour
of the box - so I fear it is just dead/dying. If I find anything I´ll
update this post

my more than 15 year old SB3 (Classic) has worked like a charm, until
lately when all of a sudden it developed some problems. A year after
having upgraded to LMS 8.x it started acting up and randomly stops audio
playback (sometimes it plays for 30 mins, sometimes only for 1 min). I

You guys were right. I placed a bid on a local second hand SBv3 with
power supply. Once I got it, I connected the "new" power supply to my
own SB, it powered on instantly. I have used my setup since 2007. I
never had any issue whatsoever. The reason I "acted drastically". :)

Otherwise, I'd set a 5V power supply with current limit at 0.25A max.
Connect it (it will drop of course). Then (when off) remove the WiFi
board. Retry, if Vcc drop is less, try limit Icc a bit less. Remove the

sorry, better forget about that multimeter test. A lot of people fall
for this. If you measure the voltage of the unloaded PSU, you will
probably find that it delivers 5V as it should. But that does not mean
everything is all right. The problem is that a multimeter does not draw
any cur

which are both from China. Might be problematic but I'm not sure.

To test, you can remove WLAN card from classic and see if resets still
occur if card is not installe

Never edit or skimp on log file. Zip them if necessary to attach.

A couple of days ago my Squeezebox Classic stopped playing any streams.
Both radio and My Music Library are affected.
When I choose new music to play, via the Material or standard Web skin,
the new track will appear as playing and on the Squeezebox the interface
is updated to show the new track.
This seems to be happening to me - the constant scrolling down.
I've found that even when I've taken out the batteries of my remote,
it's still doing it so it appears to be a fault of the receiver/software
rather than sticky button on the remote.
This happens on both LMS and in MSB.

I've just bought a new amp to fix a problem that now appears to be my
old SB Classic playing up. Luckily I have a spare Classic.
The problem is that the output on one channel is very quiet compared
with the other. It plays, but at greatly reduced volume.

I also own several Squeezbox 3 (Classic) devices. I now have a problem

turns off, and it won't react on any command until I unplug the power
