III or TS-2000x. (A/B/C switching) I've since sold both of those radios. I
bought a 6 meter preamp from High Sierra Microwave. It has about the same specs
as the ARR P50VDG mentioned on here and the Elecraft offering.

One area you might want to check is what you have the SSB filter offset
set for. If you have the 2.8 kHz filter, this offset should be zero. If
it is the 2.7 kHz filter, this offset is usually in the -0.80 to -.90 ,
with most set for -.85.

When I purchased my soldering station I also bought a needle point tip
for it. When I put my K2 together I also didn't get enough solder on pin
1 U1. I changed the tip in my soldering iron to the needle tip and
actually stuck it in the pin 1 socket to reheat the solder.
