Doug,
I suspect that one or both of the wattmeter diodes in the KAT100 are
fried. It would be a good idea to check those in the KPA100 as well.

Dear Reflector,
Hello again. I wish I wrote more often to say how good my K2 and KPA100 with
KAT100 are working, but I don't. They have been working great.
I built a KPA100 and KAT100 into an EC2 enclosure. Everything has worked well
for quite some time now (~1 yr.).
Today, I write with a p

Oh, Good Grief!
I'm speechless. A response in five minutes from one of the founders of the
company along with the head K2 guru.
Thanks guys!
Now, THAT'S Elecraft in action.

Hi Bob,
Our field testers are pounding on things as we speak. We're quickly
iterating on firmware, trying to keep up. The manual is mostly written
and should be available soon.
We may have something else to add later tonight or tomorrow regarding

Hi everybody;
Well, it's Tuesday the 13th here and I see no further P3 news. Would like a
happy shiping thought if possible.

This link from W5EZY should make all the old D-104's come back to life.

Guido,
I would like to see the base bias voltage a little bit lower - 0.63
maximum, .62 nominal. I recommend replacing Q11 and Q13.
Yes, the current draw without Q7 and Q8 installed is within the normal
range.

Probably, it was only an heatsinking problem, unless the TX current is
wrong: without the PA transistors, with RF Power set to 5.0W (with any
value greater than 0.1W is the same), the TUNE current is 0.
The K3 provides a way to adjust speech controls and ALC level off-air.
(Technical note: The reason this is possible is that the K3's fast ALC
is established in the DSP. This means the K3's first-I.F. crystal
filters can be used in TX mode to ensure that dynamic ALC responses
are band-limited

Thanks for that run-down.

Any update on when the P3 manual will be on the elecraft website? I

hope the release date has not changed. I hope to see mine soon.

Jim,
I am using essentially the same setup. I got a lot of help from Chen (W7AY)
the author of CocoaModem.
I also had a problem of no output and it turned out to be that I was using the
default jumper settings on the Signalink and you need to boost the output by
setting jumper 3 (JP3). Other

attenuation for the input to the SDR-IQ. IMD was stable as long
as the power level was stable (Keep ALC

As far as I know that unit uses reed relays, and should have no detectable
loss. I think there might be two models of that,
I found in my shack a Front End Saver

Or it will decrease the RX signals I can receive in the K3?
