That *may* be due to the USB HID boot mode issue I speculated about.
Macs don't have BIOS like PCs, and so the Apple keyboards may not
implement boot mode support. I'm still speculating, but it makes sense
(to me, anyway)

Problem solved by resoldering everything around TX Buffer U9. Many thanks to
Don Wilhelm W3FPR for his sage advice. The radio would be going back to

I had a breakthrough today with my KX3 paddles. I disassembled them, and
cleaned the pivot pin.
I found that the contact screws are 'cupped' on the end. I used a very fine
stone and removed the sharp edge as I could see with my magnifier that the
edges of the cup had made an inden

recommended version from, but it is wrong, or for another product utility.

The recommendation you are referring to obviously has not been updated as
1.3.9.2 would be circa 2010. The current K3 Utility software for Windows is
1.12.3.28.

I'm not familiar with the P3 firmware, nor your particular keyboard,
but one reason that MIGHT prevent it from working is if the P3
firmware relies on USB HID boot mode support, which some wireless
devices do not implement. Maybe Paul can comment if boot mode support
is required by the firmware

Hi,
following situation:
- K3 mode enabled (K31;)
- Auto Info set to 2 (AI2;)
- VFO A and VFO B set to the same band, but different modes
When toggling VFO A/B the K3 does not send out any CAT command as reaction to
the mode change!
