Sorry to hear you are having issues, and I know this does not fix your
current issue, but as an aside, I always do a save of system config just
before any critical operations like contests, etc. Makes the recovery a
lot simpler, if needed.

A feedpoint choke like this does manage the interface from the unbalanced coax
to the balanced antenna by inhibiting the flow of common-mode currents. Hence,

That's a common mode choke, and #43 is a terrible material for the HF
bands. See my "cookbook" at k9yc.com/publish.
But remember, there are two basic loading conditions that will give a SWR
of 1.2:1 ...
60R+J0 will give 1.2:1 and pull a current lower than a perfect match ...
42R+J0 will give 1.2:1 and pull a current greater than a perfect match ...
(and of course all the reactive permutations around the load

that band.

Just guessing, but I sugges
K3 and SUBRX with all of its TMP cables, and I suspect one of these
cables caused the problem. An intermittent contact of the KREF3
reference oscillator could also be the cause.

hooked it up and it worked GREAT. Used it for SSB and CW contacts on 80M
and ssb on 10M. Shut it down about 8pm last night. Turned it on this

antenna behaves with higher power levels than your antenna analyzer
