Hello,
I tried to use the utility Gdepth downloaded from this page:
http://axis.unpythonic.net/01169521961
It worked nice withe the 2.1.6 version of EMC2 (installed).
Now I tried it with the 2.2.2 and I get this error:
spiral.ngc:0: Bad character 'g' used
this is the original spiral.ngc file
Thanks a lot, Steve!

(Of course, this could have been added right before I looked at

Gentlemen,
I have a new install of Ubuntu 6.06 and EMC2. EMC2 is the -trunk
from cvs. I may be missing something obvious. I hope so. EMC2 will not
start when using any machine configured to use the ppmc board set. I
get a report telling me the .ko module will not load 'operation not

Gentlemen,
I noticed a problem with encoder boards today.
I have three ppmc encoder boards. Any one of the boards will run
the commtest without error for any length of time. Any two will give
random comm errors. This happens no matter the slots the boards are
installed in. The errors are
just a shot in the dark but you did run the script . scripts/emc-environment
in the terminal first?

stepconf only gives a tiny, tiny subset of all the configurations that
can be created through emc2's HAL. It sounds like your home switch
configuration may be one that is not possible. You may be able to use

I was just thinking that one possibility is I could not use the switches
as 'home' switches. Just call them limits and manually home each axis.

Good Evening,
I am working through the setup of my router table using the Stepconf Wizard.
I have a question about how to configure my home and limit switches in
the wizard.
My machine is already setup and running using Turbocnc.
The way I already have my limits setup is:
Each axis has it's own

Chris make sure you are up to version 2.2.2
There are some bugs in the wizard regarding home/limit switch setup.
You may find it easier to just rewire the switches.
The most simple configuration is to put all the homes on one pin and
all the limits on another pin. Have a pull up resistor on
