I have found that if I start drakfont and select "actionis" this kills the

You now see the way that tcp/ip works - you can only see the segements on
the network in the same domain or class C address.
You need to make the server available on both classes of address. You don't
explain how you link the different networks. Assuming they are on the same
physical cable

Does this server have two nic cards in it, one for one subnet and one for
the other subnet. If so, you can setup Linux to work like a router and
transfer packets from one subnet to the other. In SAMBA you can setup the
interface too use one workgroup but transfer the packets from one subnet to

Hi, assuming the routing is all correct, it looks like you just need to
add the following line to your /etc/smb.conf

The line should follow the following text block from the config file

Near as I can tell, the most recent Mandrake is the 1.3.14-2. If you
still want 1.3.17, you'll have to use a standard RH version. When
Mandrake puts out the .17, you'll still be able to upgrade to it, though.
Hi Praedor,
Wine should only build fonts upon running the first aplication, after
initially installing or configuring Wine for the first time, or in the
first new directory. It is actually building the registry based on your
system fonts.
In other words, if you just installed wine, and you

It depends on what exactly you need to do. The names user1.abc.com,
user2.abc.com, etc are fully qualified domain names (FQDN) also referred

You can find more information on the file
/usr/src/linux/Documentation/fb/vesa.txt (if you have kernel-doc
installed). Basically you can play with the vga=### parameter and give it
a higher number until you can get the desidered resolution and the desire
depth. You can test it at boot time using
