if they are expressions taht are used in every single instrument/part, you can set the measure itself to break a MM rest. but for expressions applying only to a selection of staves, well you're screwed and have to break adn recreate the MM rests manually.

a related comment: it has always annoyed me taht there was nto an easier way to set different measures to different spacing much more easily. several tools have keyboard shortcutsd, metatools, why not this? we have the option of time sig beat or note spacing... why not either a menu with
