It looks like my current monitor is coming to the end of its life, so I have been considering what to get as a replacement. LCD TFT screens seem to be the only option now, but what opinions does the group have on wide-screen versus 4:3 or similar square formats? Does Finale work correctly with

A wide monitor is terrific. I have the 30 cinema and I'll never go back to anything smaller (or square). I can see (in a usable percentage) a full score top to bottom, and one or more phrases left to right in scroll view (often at 100%). In page view, I can get an 8.5x11 page at 200%, (just

What Carolyn said! I'm also using an Apple 30 Cinema HD display (wide-screen) and it's unbelievably great running at a resolution of 2560 x 1600 (!) on my quad G5. A flat screen this size has been a 30-year dream for me! It's plenty bright, too. I run it at about 60% brightness unless it's very

I suggest considering a widescreen LCD with pivot capability. Then you can pivot the screen to portrait and see a full page of the score on screen with much better clarity. I have a 20 wide screen with pivot andf would not give it away for anything now that I have become accustomed to it.
