This has been a great discussion about Fjords and heat. I am currently
using my Fjord for a trail guide horse for the local stable. It has been
relatively hot here in northern Minnesota with the temps in the high 80s
and the humidity
, I'm in south central Kansas and we're riding in the mornings mostly
when it's high 80's low 90's and probably 30% humidity as it is really drought
bone dry here. Of course the light breeze we often have also helps as you tend
to feel cooler when there is air moving, even if it is hot air. I'm guessing

Hi everyone
well , I need some advise about hot wire. I am replacing my old with new
tape. I did some but it only lasted about a week then it broke. It is to
only back up what is there. What is the best type to use. I am using the
white 1/2 inch tape
on
the longer electric fence insulators that keep the wire/tape almost 6-in
away from the wood. but for horses that chew, we had to add a hot wire
raised above the top of the wood fence to prevent chewing.
The very best fencing, which we can't afford, is made of about 3-in wide
rubber stuff with hot
