I recently updated to PowerSDR v2.3.5 from v2.0.16. Everything seems to
work well until I active RX2, at which point I get an Overflow error and
am given the option to continue or quit. If I continue, the panadaptor
display is replaced with a white rectangle with crossed red lines.

Thanks to all who sent me the solution for my RX2 error. Resetting the

I had the same problem with chirping smoke detectors and burglar alarm

Update:
I have downloaded PowerSDR 2.0.16, removed McAfee antivirus, loaded ESET
Nod32 antivirus (much kinder in terms of system overhead), and am trying to
trim my unneeded Windows 7 services. So far it has made a favorable
difference in cw transmission, however my computer is still doing some

Hello,
I am a Flex-5000A user who has never quite become comfortable using it on
cw. I am using it with a Dell Dimension E520 running Windows 7. It has 5
GB of RAM. I have tried using an external keyer (LogiKit CMOS-4) and
recently the internal keyer, but have audio pops, glitches and delays

watts, and sent a string of dits. Sporadically, and not in a regular
pattern, their are pauses. When sending cw, these sporadic pauses throw

I may seem a little slow, but would like to know how others plan to use the

After being frustrated with some of my sofrware not functioning properly on
my Vista box, I activated the super administrator account (requires several

problems.
What you described should be working.

I am using virtual com port pair COM6 and COM16. When I activate the CAT

I figured it out. I created a new COM pair for cw keying: COM3 and COM13.
Now it seems to be working fine!

Dudley,
Thanks for your tips on using the 'Wave' function for recording and
subsequent conversion to MP3 format. I followed your instructions and set
the sample rate in PowerSDR Wave to 11025, post-processed receive audio, and
pre-processed audio transmit.

Yesterday I worked a local friend on 40-meters cw. He was listening with

I have been able to capture and playback audio using the PowerSDR Wave File

I didn't notice any change when I toggled the 'SR' button and it was present

On a few occasions, while operating cw, I have noted that the receiver

It turned out that the PowerSDR and MixW CAT interface were setup with
different baud rates (imagine that!). I discovered the problem after
creating a new database.
