writing a driver that doesn't have this problem is well enough known so

It's simple, cheap and sends proper-sounding CW. Even below its speed
limit, I found the PSDR keying to be choppy and ugly. It's kinda unesthetic
to add an extra gadget to a small qrp rig, but the Pico is tiny and
unobtrusive.

mounted on the ground about 30 feet from the transmit (dipole) antenna.

I've been using the Flex 5000 with WSJT for a couple of years now. The
program sits idle until you click AUTO or MONITOR. Your sound card
selection might be correct, but you won't see any waterfall activity
until you activate the program.

It will be fascinating to see the evolution of this design and its progress

My 3000 is a backup radio and is just not getting enough use. It works
FB and is in excellent shape other than 3 small scrapes on the top,
the longest about 1/2". Firewire cable included. $1200 and I'll split

have to redo your setup. After you get PSDR set up and going, export
your database to a location where you can find it again; then if you
have to delete it in the future, you can restore your settings.
I don't know for sure that this will fix it, but it's worth a try.
