You might try adjusting your pan adapter frames per second. Possibly you could
live with a slower pan adapter refresh. The setting is in the "Refresh Rates"
frame under the "Display" tab in setup GUI called "Main Display FPS". Try
reducing value.

I have to agree with you there even though I can't afford a new one even

Soldering a crimped connection is a bad idea. It creates an additional stress

Where does the wav file one records on the fly with the Flex 1500 reside? I
kept trying to find its location so I could save it. I can see a PowerSDR
folder in my MUSIC Windows 7 folder but nothing appears in it. I also looked
in the Flex folder in the Program directory.

I had similar issues, and addressed them through a combination of feedline
chokes and microphone input filtration. I found that the mic input seemed to by
my biggest "entry point". I spoke to a number of people that couldn't use "pro"
condenser mics for this reason.

I used a Flex 5000 this weekend with SS with my Acom 1000 amp and I had no
issues driving it to full power. The Acom has a great RF meter that is
very accurate on voice peaks.
I appreciate that there has been some discussion about not enough audio

chain alignment. I would also keep the EQ flat as the Heil mics have
already been eq'd so to speak for SSB communications.
