I got Authentication to work with the method you described, but that's only
the first level. I realize that I can't make username, the group name. I
guess I am not wording it correctly, let me try better this time

I'm looking into porting radrelay from cistron 1.6.6 to freeradius.
Is there any work already being done on this front? No use duplicating
the effort.
Is there any interest in seeing this done? I'd have use for it myself,
but I'm curious whether it would be generally useful or not.

An empty query won't return much in the way of anything.
This looks like a messed up raddb/sql.conf , have you made any changes
to the querys in there?

Crypt-Password with all three PAP encryption schemes, unlike with the
local auth-type.

understand a user we get
assigned an IP before the radius server knows if their password is
correct. This could be a big whole for IP leaks.

Everything you'll ever need
any modem like attempt to make a connection. Setting
Allow Stop Only to no will prevent it being logged to the Radius server.
Personally I leave it on as a debugging aid, because I rarely see it.

groupmembership_filter = (loginName=%u)(nasAccess=%{Huntgroup-Name})
%{Huntgroup-Name} does not get expanded to be the configued Huntgroup
though.
