It's actually that you can up it to 512 rather than the (something
really small - 192??) official Apple max.
At the time it came out only 128-Meg chips would fit it, they

Stands for File System ChecK. It's done when unix filesystems are not shut
down cleanly.

I was considering a Lombard and checked the bus speed of those models

Apple Spec.
I too have a question regarding the processor upgrades for the
wallstreet machines. What can one expect for battery life after the
upgrade especially for the G4 upgrade? Can someone who has the upgrade
comment on this?

upgraded the RAM and hard drive to 768MB/40GB 5400rpm but I had been
running a 400MHz/320MB/10GB for about a year and it has been very well,

wallstreet with 320meg ram and Its running fine with no real obvious
slowdown I can see from 9.2.2 on the same machine. I would think with the
faster CPU and the faster Bus OSX sould run great on a Pismo

cushion and seat underneath and back up to the front of the seat. Then
I buckle it together after crossing the strap over the PowerBook over

It's not as snappy as in 9, but it's acceptable for a system wiht 192MB.
I prefer the snappiness of OS9, but there are some good apps in X as well.
