I can guarantee that this is a Mashita (or Matsushita) because of the SR-8174 in there. That is the Mashita model number, where the dying LGs number is LG-8080B. You might have good luck with that drive (but no guarantee =) I think a 9.5mm height drive will be no problem because the drives are sec

Hi all If the prismo use's the same drive's as the lombard, look for smartdisk drives in firewire caseing's they are cheap on ebay at the moment, and most of them are Teac branded drives inside. These make very good swap in/out drives in the old caseing's as the connector cards have the same i

When I transplanted the UDJA 330 CD/RW in the Matshita Expansion Bay Module for my Pismo, I purchased mine on ebay (Matshita CD/DVD) for around $45. My Pismo 400 had a Mat drive that developed a problem...It started to make grinding noises on different cd's and dvd's and shortly thereafter it got to where pressing the button on the side wouldn't even open it up. I had to use the end of a paper clip in the little hole to get it to open. Once
