It is not just the displacement, as i mentionend before the picture is unsharp in some places too. Could this also be fixed with xvidtune. The auto button is for an adustment on your monitor? If so, then you can fix the X server displacement by creating a better modeline with xvidtune.

hello all, i want to test some other windowmanagers and if i find one that satisfies me i want to switch from the gnome-desktop to this windowmanager. So how can i remove all gnome packages. Is it save to remove all gnome-base and gnome-extra packages and run emerge depclean and revdep-rebuild.
