I had projectx working with blackdown-jdk, now i use sun-jdk and
projectx still works.
Generally I find that I want to cut at a major transition - eg the
adverts coming on. At a major transition there is usually an I-Frame.
Maybe it is the german tv as for many movies i have recorded i have to
cut on B- and P-Frames to avoid pictures from the adverts.

only designed for this purpose. Ttcut is able to cut the video
frame-accurate and not only on I-Frames.
It doesn't appear to do that here, the Cut-In button is ghosted for most
frames, so I end up cutting slightly off fro

as Bo mentioned before qt is slotted so you can have qt3 and qt4
installed on the same system.
Just unmask qt in /etc/portage/package.keywords.
For me it works like a charm, i don't think that a chroot environment
is necessary!

i have configured tv-out some time ago. It worked fine, but now it
doesn't anymore.
Normally i activate tv-out by opening a new screen with
X -screen Screen1 :1 -ac sleep 2; DISPLAY=:1 xterm

1.0.8178-r3 works for me. You have to to put nvidia-kernel and
nvidia-glx in your /etc/portage/package.keywords cause it is ~x86.

in the end xvidtune works. I roughly shifted and resized my screen and
then all of a sudden it calibrats itself. Then i used the output of

windowmanager. So how can i remove all gnome packages. Is it save to
remove all gnome-base and gnome-extra packages and run emerge depclean

i recently installed K3B.
When i start the application a window pops up and says something like
cdrdao will run without root privileges, use k3b-setup to solve this
problem.
The problem is on my system there is no such setup-tool.
I have Gnome installed but no KDE, is the K3B-setup only
if i run equery i get no results
