just change the mapcyclefile to a different one in the command line or in
server.cfg, then you never need to worry about it.
mapcyclefile mymaps.txt
Put your custom mapcycle in mymaps.txt.

a protected file. So unfortunately we're left copying config files

The server configuration supports a mapcyclefile (and motdfile) variable.
mapcyclefile mymaps.txt
Put that in your config or command line, and use mymaps.txt as your server's
mapcycle.

I agree with that ...
But i dont think that valve will change that way ... Because of releasing
new maps and that they want to update it into the cycles.
What about making the files readonly ? Shouldnt that work ?

I think the map.txt files only get updated when there's a new map.

MAX enforces cl_interp 0.01
MIN enforces cl_interp 0.1
When the Netcode is finally bug free, MAX will only be able to be used on
LAN or 100 tickrate servers with all players on extremely low latencies.

Sv_secure will do nothing because by default all servers are supposed to be

I guess that command is not even used anymore.
I know that my DODS server is not showing secure no matter what I try.

Old, well known problem. I suppose it is because the authentication servers
are sometimes overloaded or have connectivity problems.

There is a more recent version of zblock 2.02 you might want to get. The
earlier versions made some exploits available where players could get rcon
