wonder where this difference in CPU load comes from... Our config:
Intel
Xeon Qcore @ 2.33Ghz - per full TF2 server around 70-80% on a core. Tick
66, FPS ~250. Cheers, -Original Message- From:

I ran 2 3.0 Dual Core Xeon boxes when TF2 came out. I could only get a
single 24 man tf2 server on each CPU, and the load was something

I also have issues setting affinity on a q6600 Win2k3. If I do, the
gameserver experiences bizzare lag and eventually crashes. Using firedaemon

I believe all we were told was before the demo is released, so lets hope it's
at least a day before, not just a few minutes before :)

I just updated to Wolf Server's top of the line dedicated box, 2 x Intel Xeon
5420 DQC (8CPUs@ 2.5Ghz ea.) with 2MB of RAM. I don't anticipate any problems
running 6 L4D servers along with my two COD 4 servers, my COD 5 beta server, my
two 2142 servers and my ZPS server.

Might wanna take another look since I doubt you can boot an OS with
that. 2mb of ram? Big spender! :P

Some of our 24-slot TF2 servers are on an Athlon X2 2.2ghz and one
server, full, averages around 25% of one core and the highest it
spikes is at around 45%.

Turns out it's got 4GB, not 2...
I pay cost because I do tech support for Wolf Servers. It's $345/month for
everyone else.
