Did valve actually kill off the Q Clan? I thought Qosis just got tired
of running game servers. Lotus Clan servers show their fake players as ?

Q clans official statement was that they quit while on top but it seems to
most that due to Q clan having server/steam issues that it fell inline with
valves test on delisting, lets also not forget the money they made by
deception and miss use of valve software would be enough for valve to slap a

I agree with Arg!
But if you want my opinion, it's just plain annoying and stupid. My favorite
server host (DiG) , for TF2, at least, makes it say theres at least 10 on.

Lotus is awesome. I'm awesome and you clearly suck :D.
There's a bunch of servers with fake players that aren't delisted. Remember
there's a public fake player plugin that hasn't been broken. Anyone is free

Your disillusion of yourself obviously shows with your first statement.
As pointed out by members on that thread filling a server with fake clients

Hence why you FAIL.

Oh... com on... Valve could just remove TF2 SDK ability to use fake players
inside plugins or just automatically temporary delist servers, who have
players with “BOT” tags. (cracked - STEAM_ID_PENDING, achievement servers –
BOT_TAGS). I bet that this would require less resources and could be

There's legitimate reasons why servers may have bots - they could be running an
an airshot map, for example. In my community, practice maps like that are run
on match servers while there isn't any matches on, but I can see a clan with
only one server might run it public some of the time, and
Valve use bots in their developer commentary system, too.
But the IBotManager interface of the current OrangeBox SDK is broken since the
Scout update.
*still waiting for a fix* :P

Next time, just type the cvar into server console without the value to

By entering the cvar, you would know that the default value is 0
(anything between 0-3), max is 3.

Hi All
We are running about 500 srcds and hlds servers behind a NATed firewall
which seems to be a problem for VAC, Content, Master or whatever servers

Most of the times the server startup just fine, but more and more often,

Yes, but I am not having the problem!

The maximum value for rate in the Source engine is 1048576.
3 seems to be a good maximum to use for L4D, though.

Hi Thomas,
I ran into a similar situation, but on a much much smaller scale (a few
running on the same host behind NAT). Basically the same thing, server

initialise VAC. I'm pretty sure it's a mechanism on VALVe's end of

There sure has been a lot of QQ about other servers on these lists

those servers, etc? Just run your servers, build your community, and

You speak as though you haven't ever played a source game. I usually
play on servers that have lots of people already on, and sort the server
list by occupancy. When multiple clans begin to fake the number of
online players, it clutters the server window. There is no easy way to
