Chris, One other solution to the opening of logs bogging down your machine would be to transition to a better program. Notepad/wordpad just don't cut it when working with very large files. Take a look at UltraEdit. It does not have the same limitations that these programs have. Jason -

Thanks for the reply, Scott. This article pertains to moving the spool directory. I have already moved the spool directory out of IMAIL, but I want to move the log files out of the spool directory. It appears the logs follow the spool but I want them on their own partition. Thanks, Chris Pat
