What is the best way to backup the users' mailboxes. Should I just exportn the registry file and then save the imail user directory? And then when I readd it (say to another box) do I just replace the user directory andexecute the registry file? Or is there a better way to do this?

yes the ignore source address box is checked. I have dedicated ip address, and it still happens to me quite often. If you stop/re-start web messaging, you can reproduce that problem. Therefore, one possible cause of this might be if the web messaging crashes, and then restarts.
