I installed this in VMWare Fusion 1.1.1. It worked flawlessly (other
than the 3 minute pause when booting the 64 bit kernel, known vmware
issue). The one issue I did notice is that the .bashrc file in my user
homedir was owned by root:root with 644 permissions.

That's not true. The liveCD is designed to run with 512M of ram. We go
