If you do use the WW gold hub for the corvair just note that it is a sae1 bolt pattern but it also requires a 2.25 inch hole drilled through the center of the prop. If you miss this step you will be quite disappointed when the prop doesn't fit... Not that I am speaking from experience or anything.

Today I weighed both cowlings. Given the total weight with VW being 720 and the total weight with the Corvair being 750 and adding in the 9 pounds difference in cowl weight, the installed weight of the Corvair is 39 pounds greater than the VW 2276 as installed on my KR2. Much less than I expect
