Hello everybody. I am porting an application from Mac to Windows and get problems importing textfiles. While D7/Mac treats a textFile always as text, D8/Win seems to import only .txt files as text. But the files I have to use end ".fsd" and get imported as #ole type. I can not rename the files

Hello everybody, I wrote a game in Lingo on Mac(D7.02) and am transferring it to PC right now. But somehow I am missing the fileXtra on my windows system, although I installed D8 all new again. I had the xtra in D7 in earlier projects I think. Is it not compatible with D8 and where can I get it?

Hi John, I don't see a mistake in what YOu have been doing. Did You save properly? However if You want linked graphics, You don't need an external cast. Just import to the internal cast and use "linked to external file". Then Director will import the graphics new every time. regards, Florian J

Hi Brad, in D7, I think there is no solution. You could set the directToStage to False - then there is no flash, but the VR gets very slow! In normal linear QT movies ist was a workaround to export the first frame of a movie and put it behind the movie - the movie would still flash but You won't
