It seems to me that you have a pure line quality, though there can be many other

Disconnections like you describe usually have to do with pure line quality.

system is a bit better technologically wise, BTW.
The problem is that you cannot leave your system to automatically run

I try to use ngrep to catch packets sent from me to some host, to port 8080
and redirect them to some file.
ngrep without switches just sends all the contents of all the packets to
stdout, but when I give it "dst port 8080" it just prints as many "#" signs
as number of packets it capt
