Apparently default getmail-4.2.5 wants a QMail type Maildir to work
with. The thread will show that I tried all kinds of ways to make
getmail NOT change the From_ to From: -- to no avail up till now..

Greetings: Slackware 8.1.01 installs easily on our machines with an
IDE HD and IDE CD, booting the CD nicely and installing from the CD,
with the BIOS set properly..
However; the subject machine has an IDE 20gB HD and a __SCSI CD__,
with a BusLogic SCSI card, creating an insurmountable problem - s
that a dumb question??
Probably. I note the newer packages have the module 'o' files also
compressed - not to confuse my poor brain. :^)

from the CD.. The CD is working OK from the Dos5.0 partition of
