Hi If I insert an example environment in a french beamer document, I get example instead of exemple. I checked the latex file: frenchb is passed as an option to beamer, babel is also used. I also tried to insert in the preamble \usepackage[french]{beamer} but no way to obtain the french word.

This question was not properly answered, so I re-mail it, as I need some solution quite fast. I use LyX 1.3.4 on Gentoo Linux. I set French double quotation marks (quoted) and they show up all right in LyX. But in DVI, or PS, or PDF they print as ¡¡quoted¿¿. (in case it doesn't print correctly
