The reason that the Migration Assistant does not like you having the same name
is for data security purposes. The easiest thing to do here is to simply make
sure that the name on the MBA is slightly different the original one. For
example, use just Donna instead of your full name.
If you do want to make an alias on the desktop, you can. Go to the applications
folder, find the program, use vo shift m to get to the context menu for the
program and choose make alias. The alias will be created in the same folder the
program is in. For example, making an alias for Skype.app,
