Cloning is the right solution, but you won't find instructions for doing it
on an R55.
Well, the only person I know has a Sony MZ-R90/91 (can't remember now)
Does cloning work on those? Or is cloning a total NONO on all Sony protables?

I submit that it does matter, for the reasons I mentioned in my previous
post that future technology will enable the ability to vastly improve
current recordings. It's like the Caruso restorations. They

DIY (do it yourself) solution (I think this SCMS is only a few bits in

The local music shop is discontinuing their line of MDs. They have FUJI 5
packs @ $8.50 USD. Does anyone have any comments about FUJI MDs.
Thanks

I somehow suspect that there are not alot of

AFAIK Fuji seems to have a fairly good reputation. I've heard less

People today are so spoiled. Go back 15 years to the era of LPs and

Hello,
I wanted one too, but couldn't track one down here in the UK. But I was on
holiday in New York last week, and picked up an MZ-R900 there. Haven't had
much time to play with it yet, but it looks great and seems to be pleasantly

It has come to my attention that some people have laptop computers that

Just looked - seems I paid a wee bit too much in New York - Oh well...
Mine is white though - so I suppose there's some rarity value there.

put it on cd's. This works fine, but I would like to do a digital

That could be because your
Atrac version only affects the way it is recorded in the first place,
not how it is played back. Just get the one you want and it will be
compatible.
