Only thing such as that does on an SDL is to fatten the spoiler mfgr's
wallet and make the driver look like more of a fool than he/she may already
be, or maybe, it just confirms it. ;)

The latching hook on my drivers door ('77 300D) has seemingly frozen
in the
closed position with the door open. The door locking mech still feels
like
it's working by pulling up/pushing down on the latch.
What's wrong? I can't close my door.

of rotates over and will not pop back up by itself when you operate
the release (either inside or outside).
