Take a look at your door strike and compare it to one on a working door.
There is a small piece of plastic in the bottom that sticks out just a
little bit on a good one. This piece is what usually fails and causes the
door not to latch all of the way. Make sure that piece is there or no

That's part of its fail-safe defroster mechanism.

My son and I replaced the starter in his '80 240D. We ordered a Bosch reman
from Rusty at a surprisingly affordable price. The only tough part of the
job is the large cap bolts. They can be loosened from the top with a long
breaker bar if the helper is below placing the allen key socket into
Parent's Bryant (Carrier) gas furnace dead tonight. I took a look at
it, and found that the controller was flashing a code 32, which
tranlates to low induction pressure.
The induction fan was not coming on at all, so the error code made sense

still have heat all the time.
Replace the valve, or at least the insert -- when they go bad, they
leak and you get heat all the time.

If you have an ammeter, put power to the blower and see if it's pulling
a high amount of current. If the blower is normal, possibly a power
surge (or brownout?) took out the controller, or the board just went bad.
