Yup. researched heavily while looking for a replacement for the wife’s R129. Avoid, especially the older ones. If he really wants a car with a Vario (hard) convertible top, go with the later SLK320. It’s got the V6 M112 engine that is far more robust and reliable, and no blower to deal with.
